Are you a high school in the DC area who cares about the issue of school pushout and believes in alternative practices like restorative justice? We want to partner with you!
East of the river is seeking a school that will allow us to shoot a scene of this film inside of the entrance and outside on the steps leading up to it. The school will not be named, and will remain anonymous. This film is in no way admonishing the public school system, rather we understand that schools are rarely given the tools and resources to adequately handle discipline issues and admire schools who are taking steps to find alternatives. We also want to collaborate with the partnership school to cast students as extras in this critical scene. It is an excellent way for students interested in film production to see first hand how a set works. This film is a graduate film for California Institute of the Arts, and a great way to make contacts with a reputable fine arts university for students interested in pursuing the arts.
If your school is interested, or if you have a lead on a school that might be interested, send us your name, school, phone number and a brief description of your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our Partnership Team will be in touch shortly.
